Message from Lynn Carey

President of the
Cheetah Herders Athletic Club

First let me disavow any association with that band of misfits known as the Cheetah Herders.

While this unsavory group is the scourge of the athletic community, I have it on good authority that they are responsible for some of the most unusual and innovative race events held anywhere in the western United States.
Events such as the Snow Joke (a half-marathon held in the dead of winter) and O.S.C.R. (a 50k free style ski race).

The Flagship event organized by this gang of rogues is Le Grizz, a 50 mile ultramarathon. This ultra is run down the west shore of Hungry Horse Reservoir. The course offers magnificent vistas, fall colors, mountains, lakes, rivers and wild animals. Of course the animals are mostly the participants.

This race has everything anyone could want in a foot race, so if you have ever considered doing an ultra, this is the one for you!

In closing, I would like to say that the races put on by these rascals are more than just races. They are happenings, life-shaping events that you will talk about for years to come.
